What's "Quit Watch"?

QuitWatch is a simple yet powerful tool to keep you away from smoking. Make this one your final quit! Keep track of your success and get motivated!

The point is; if you look at this screen frequently, it's happens to be very hard to throw away the most valuable smoke free hours .

You set a quitting date and start keeping track of your success. By the way, you enjoy the significant milestones as 3th day, first week and so on. Each milestone is represented by a different "star fish" cartoon character.

Also, I collected 50 or so motivational anonymous quotes and tips. I call them daily reflections. You can edit them and add your own motivational tips. Every time you open up this program, you'll see a tip that will make your journey less painful.

It takes average 4 trials before quitting finally, so don't quit quitting. Quitting tobacco is not easy, but no task is hard as long as it's a little bit fun. QuitWatch will be your best companion on your "quit journey".

I've smoked for over 10 years. At first, it was a mild pleasure, a nasty little bad habit. But I later realized that it's no other than a fatal addiction.

Like other addictive abusive materials, it's very hard to quit smoking. After all, it's all legal. You can find it everywhere and with a quite low price. And in countries like Turkey, smoking is a widespread habit and a cultural phenomena.

At the point when I decided to quit, I was 33 and I was smoking 2 packs-a-day. I had already difficulty in breathing, especially in the mornings.

I had 4 serious quit attempts. One of them lasted over 60 days. But I failed for various reasons.

On the 5th attempt, I succeeded. So never quit quitting.

On my 4th and 5th attempts, I wrote this little application for PocketPC and used with my old Fujitsu Loox 600. I worked wonders for me. So I decided to share with the world.

The PocketPC version is available commercially, but here I give away the Desktop version for free. If you find the program useful and if you have a PocketPC, you can purchase it and use it wherever you go. This way, it'll be even more useful.
